Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) position requiring an active RN license on hand and prior Med-Surg or IRF experience.

Details

  • Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 42 beds
  • Rehab Nursing unit serving adult patients, including some geriatric and rehab-specific cases
  • Patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
  • RN to patient ratio of 5:1 (RN/LPN) and CNA ratio of 7:1
  • Utilizes Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend rotation required (Monday-Friday schedule)
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required on hand
  • OR RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • AHA-issued certifications required
  • Minimum 1+ years of RN experience required
  • New graduates will not be considered
  • Long-term care (LTC) experience does not meet position requirements
  • IRF or Med-Surg experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing acute rehabilitation
  • Scrubs of any color are acceptable
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time
  • First-time travelers are not specified as accepted for this role
