Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring 2 years of CVPICU experience at a children's facility and GA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the CVPICU unit of a Level I Trauma pediatric hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• May occasionally float to ICU units on the AMBH and Scottish Rite campuses, including NICU, TICU, PICU, and CICU
• May also float to general Peds
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal
• BLS, PALS (AHA only), and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU experience required at a dedicated children's facility (general population peds experience not accepted)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• BSN preferred but not required
• Travel experience required
• Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher, completed within the last 12 months
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients
• Responsibilities include infection control/PPE, wound assessment and care, isolation precautions, and ventilator management
• Facility is a nicotine-free campus and tests for cotinine/nicotine
• Candidates must complete a medication pass/fail test; failure to pass a second attempt after review will result in cancellation
• Compliance hard documents due 7 business days prior to start with no exceptions
• First-time travelers are accepted if their resume demonstrates the needed skills
• RTO dates must be submitted at the time of application
