Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room night shift position requiring 2 years of recent OR experience and strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular skills.

• Hospital-based Operating Room unit
• Requires strong experience with cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular surgical cases
• 13-week travel assignment
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation of 1 in 3
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Possible on-call requirement
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a range of surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular cases
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible if located in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• Flu vaccination required with only medical exemptions accepted; personal or religious declinations are not permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within the 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
