Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 1 year of experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and NM or compact RN licensure, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab unit of a hospital setting, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- 13-week assignment length
- Call required
- Required to work every 4th weekend
- Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
Requirements
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, valid at time of submission
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; RCIS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- Experience with cardioversion, circulating procedures, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
- Experience monitoring procedural sedation
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, including left and right heart catheterization
- Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Scrub procedure experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including monitoring and managing procedural sedation
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the position
- Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
