Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with a Level II Trauma background and required skills in ortho trauma and craniotomy procedures
Details
- Operating Room department within a hospital setting
- Level II Trauma facility environment
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekend shifts required per unit need
- Potential on-call requirements including approximately 2 weekdays every 6 weeks and one weekend (Saturday/Sunday 12-hour shifts) every six weeks
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand, OR RN license required
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred, CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Required experience in Ortho Trauma, Craniotomy, and Trauma procedures
- Level II Trauma center experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- First-time travelers considered with minimum 2 years of experience
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, trauma, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and ENT procedures
- Utilize specialized equipment such as electrosurgical units, robotic surgical systems, and surgical tables as needed
- Work within general OR, hybrid OR, and trauma settings
- Candidates must live outside a 75 mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; proof of address required
- Maximum requested time off (RTO) of 7 total days during the 13 week assignment
