Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric OR position requiring a CA RN license, prior travel experience, and 6 months of Peds OR experience.
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
- Minimum of 6 months of Peds OR experience required
- Accepts either inpatient or ambulatoryory experience
- Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- BSN required
- IV Start skills required
- Circulate skills required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide circulating nursing care for pediatric surgical patients across ENT, Urology, Neuro, General, Ortho, and Trauma specialties
- Care for both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
- Perform break relief nurse duties for approximately 20% of an 8-hour shift
- Support a variety of pediatric surgical procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, craniotomy, spinal fusion, tonsillectomy, and more
- Follow Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures for all cases
- Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments
- Up to 16 hours of orientation modules may be required and completed during orientation
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
- Local candidates are not accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before reapplying
- Two supervisor-level references from the applicable unit required, dated within 1 year of the start date or from the most recent employer
