Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity MS/Tele position requiring strong telemetry experience, Rapid Response team experience, and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a 210-bed acute care hospital
• High acuity mixed unit combining MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, and PCU patient populations
• 1:6 patient ratio required (1:5 ratio experience may be considered if clearly documented)
• Charting system: Meditech
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope
• Mandatory attendance for 5 shifts during clinical orientation week (36-40 hours)
• Scrub color: any

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty required
• 1:6 patient ratio experience required
• Strong telemetry experience required
• Rapid Response team experience required
• Total joint replacement experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for a high acuity mixed unit including MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, and PCU patients
• Manage patients requiring telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and rapid response coordination
• Perform IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Manage respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Care for orthopedic patients including total joint replacement and ortho trauma cases
• No RTO permitted during the first or last week of assignment
• Holiday coverage required per facility Holiday RTO restrictions, including working designated holidays and eves based on how many holidays fall within the contract
• Plan for at least 4 hours to complete required training modules prior to start date
• Facility reserves the right to make schedule changes up to 48 hours before a scheduled shift
• No block scheduling permitted
