Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift Ultrasound Technologist with pediatric and vascular experience for a pediatric hospital assignment.

Details

  • Pediatric hospital setting within the Ultrasound department, staffed 24/7
  • Unit performs general ultrasound exams including renal, pylorus, intussusception, neonatal head, appendix, vascular, and soft tissue studies
  • Primarily performs portable exams, including bedside scans in the ER and NICU
  • Shift schedule is Monday-Wednesday, 3x12 Nights from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Weekday backup call approximately 4 times per month, with a backup tech available for support

Requirements

  • Certification through ARDMS required (state license required if applicable)
  • Pediatric scanning experience required
  • Vascular ultrasound experience required
  • Must be comfortable working independently during overnight hours
  • Ability to perform portable ultrasound exams at bedside

Additional Information

  • Perform overnight portable ultrasound exams for ER and NICU patients as well as general pediatric ultrasound studies
  • Backup call tech is available to assist or come in if additional help is needed
  • Team provides training on any studies the traveler is not yet confident performing
  • Former staff employees are not eligible for consideration
  • Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
