Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity MS/Tele position requiring 1:6 ratio experience and rapid response team background.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 210 staffed beds
• Mixed unit including MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, and PCU
• High acuity patient population
• 1:6 patient ratio (1:5 ratio experience may be considered if clearly documented)
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope
• No block scheduling accommodated
• Meditech charting system used
• Any scrub color permitted

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, or PCU specialty required
• 1:6 patient ratio experience required
• Rapid Response team experience required
• Total joint replacement experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills required include IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Cardiac monitoring skills required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration required
• Wound care/wound vac experience required

Additional Information

• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• No RTO permitted during the first or last week of the assignment
• Mandatory attendance for clinical orientation week, requiring 5 shifts (36-40 hours)
• Holiday coverage required: 1 evening shift and 1-2 holidays depending on how many fall within the assignment
• Candidates will provide care for a mix of high-acuity medical-surgical, telemetry, and cardiac patients
• Exposure to COVID-positive patients should be expected
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
