Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a Montana or compact RN license and at least one year of specialty experience.
Details
- Work in the Med/Surg unit of a hospital setting
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic for clinical documentation
Requirements
- Active RN license in Montana or Compact license required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required, must not expire prior to start
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required as appropriate for unit or service
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg nursing required
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients
- Perform health teaching, health counseling, and provide therapy and treatment supportive to patient well-being
- Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards
- Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Background check and drug screening results must be completed prior to start, with candidates expected to report to the lab within 24 hours of commitment
