Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for a 13-week day-shift assignment requiring critical care and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience.

Details

• Work in an 8-bed Cardiovascular ICU
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
• Patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions
• Involves post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure care, including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements
• Uses Edwards and GE monitoring systems as well as Swan-Ganz catheters
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Background in critical care and cardiac critical care required
• Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Additional Information

• Provide post-surgical and post-procedural cardiac critical care to a high-acuity patient population
• Only apply to one Ascension position system wide
• Candidates should discuss extension with their manager 45 days before assignment end date
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate
