Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care hospital setting requiring ARRT and CNMT certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 356 staffed beds
• Nuclear Medicine department serving hospital and clinic patients, including pediatric cases
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Rotational call required, weekdays 5 PM-6 AM and weekends 8 AM-7 AM
• Weekend coverage includes one tech staffed in the morning
• May be required to float to an additional Providence facility location
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Performs a wide range of procedures including bone scans, myocardial perfusion, thyroid studies, renal scans, hepatobiliary studies, lung scans, and PET scans
• Utilizes GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
• ARRT, BLS, and CNMT certifications required
• NMTCB certification preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with cardiac stress testing including adenosine, Persantine, and pharmacological stress protocols
• Experience with SPECT imaging preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• California state license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• LA fire card completed within the last 30 days required

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures such as bone, thyroid, renal, liver, brain, and cardiac imaging studies
• Free parking provided on-site
• Any color scrubs permitted
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates are accepted
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Former employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not live within 50 miles of the facility
• Travelers must be willing to float between facilities within the state as required
• RTO requests should be noted at time of submission and minimized to avoid delays
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
