Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.

Details

  • Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with a dedicated electrophysiology (EP) lab
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • On-call coverage of 2 weeknights weekly unless working the weekend
  • Weekend rotation of every third weekend
  • Cerner charting system experience preferred

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab / EP Technologist
  • Current BLS certification
  • License required if applicable
  • Trauma Level II experience preferred
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP and Impella insertion, and TAVR
  • Experience with EP procedures such as cardiac ablation, mapping, conduction studies, and AICD/pacemaker insertion preferred
  • Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Skills in EKG lead placement, access site prep, hemodynamic monitoring, and arrhythmia recognition
  • PACS experience preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include equipment setup and maintenance, room circulating, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, and inventory/supply stocking
  • Follows isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
  • Local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate
