Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 5+ years of L&D/Postpartum/Newborn experience and AWHONN Advanced FHM certification.
Details
- Work in the OBU/L&D unit including Postpartum rooms and BFHI rooming-in with moms
- Average of 40 deliveries per month with approximately 6 C-sections per month
- 12-hour day shift schedule
- Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- May occasionally cover as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training
- Floating to other qualified departments may be required, including taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties
Requirements
- Active AZ or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting
- Current certifications required: ACLS or ALSO, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM (RNC-EFM may be substituted for AWHONN FHM)
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings
- Support BFHI rooming-in practices for mothers and babies
- May be asked to assist with charge nurse duties on occasion following training
- Willingness to float to other departments as needed based on competency
