Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Telemetry) position requiring 18 months of experience and a GA or Compact RN license.

Details

• Internal float pool position within a hospital PCU/Telemetry setting
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Handles ED border patients within their specialty; if none, floats between two nearby facilities as needed
• Assigned unit is communicated in advance of each shift
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience required
• BLS certification required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care to progressive care patients, including ED border patients when applicable
• May float between two nearby facilities within specialty based on staffing needs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Former employees of the health system must have been separated for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront prior to assignment start
• Maximum of 5 RTO days allowed if not falling on or near a holiday; maximum of 3 days if falling on or near a holiday
• Only one holiday time-off request permitted per assignment
• Candidates may only be submitted to one open position at a time
