Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 3+ years of acute hospital experience and ARDMS certification in AB, OB, and RVT.

Details

• Diagnostic Imaging department performing general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound studies
• Patient population includes adult, pediatric, and neonatal cases
• Procedures include abdominal, GYN, OB, neonatal, superficial structure, and vascular studies such as carotid duplex and extremity duplex studies
• Additional procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasound
• Uses Canon i700 ultrasound equipment, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
• 40-hour variable shift schedule with on-call responsibilities as needed
• Floating to other units/departments required

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a full-time sonographer in an acute hospital setting
• At least one prior contract or travel assignment experience preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ARDMS certification required in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB), and Vascular Technology (RVT)
• State license required if applicable, to be obtained upon acceptance
• Proficiency in general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound imaging techniques

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies across abdominal, OB/GYN, neonatal, superficial, and vascular specialties
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start, with appointments typically scheduled the Friday before a Monday start
• No RTO will be granted during the first 13 weeks of the contract
• Dress code includes personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire
