Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology / X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week evening shift assignment requiring 1+ years of large hospital and OR experience.
Details
- 13-week travel assignment in the X-Ray department of a Trauma Level I/II facility
- Evening shift, 5x8 hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- No floating between units required
- No on-call requirements
- No weekend requirements
- Uses Epic charting system
- Performs a wide range of diagnostic imaging including abdomen, chest, spine, upper and lower extremity, and trauma cases
- Utilizes mobile/surgical imaging including C-Arm procedures and portable chest/abdomen studies
- Works with GE, Philips, and Siemens imaging equipment and PACS system
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required, including large hospital experience
- OR experience required
- Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
- Valid WA state or Compact RN license required, if applicable
- Valid Allied license required in hand
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
- Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation safety
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures across multiple settings including Emergency Department, ICU, and Operating Room
- All travelers should be prepared to float within the facility as needed
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
- Former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required prior to start
- RTO must be requested and approved at the time of submittal; post-submittal requests may not be granted
- Candidates must complete required training modules prior to start and annually
