Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg RN for a Neuro unit requiring NIH Stroke certification and a TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Work on a 14-bed Neuro Med Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
- Unit is supported by a unit secretary and charge nurse outside of staffing ratios
- Documentation completed using Meditech EMR
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
- Contract travelers are first to float per unit policy
- Unit holds Joint Commission Thrombectomy Certification
Requirements
- Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg experience required
- Scrubs required as part of dress code
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a Neuro Med Surg unit
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
- No local candidates will be considered under any circumstances
