Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 1 year of experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts scheduled 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Overnight, weekend, and holiday call required
- Epic charting system required
- Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief unit orientation provided
Requirements
- Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- EP experience a plus
- Epic charting experience required
- Skills in ACT monitoring, sheath removal/monitoring, 12-lead EKG/ECG, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and vascular studies/procedures
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, and cardiac stent placement
- Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation and related medications (antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, vasopressors, thrombolytics, reversal agents)
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care within the Cath Lab, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Duties may include circulating procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, and managing vascular closure devices
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
