Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization procedures to support IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
- Support IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
- Average daily caseload of 15 per department
- Procedures include structural heart (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman), IR, Neuro, Vascular, Cardiac, and EP cases
- Uses Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips and Boston IVUS/IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave equipment
- Any electronic charting system used
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weeknight and weekend call required
- On-call requirements include 8 call days within a 4-week period and 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks (Friday-Monday), with 24-hour on-call coverage Saturday and Sunday
- 2-hour call back minimum
- May float within the cath lab unit to meet facility needs
- No floating to sister facilities required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Current ARRT (R), ACLS, and BLS certification required
- State license required if applicable
- Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations
- Experience with PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, and cardiac stent placement
- Experience with cardiac implant closure devices and IABP placement/removal
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
- Skilled in scrub procedures and maintaining sterile field
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, infection control, and sterile technique
- Experience serving as room circulator and equipment set up
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulator duties, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
- Structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Mitraclip, and Watchman are covered by the in-house cath lab team
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Facility will attempt to accommodate block scheduling as consistently as possible
- RTO restrictions of 7 days apply
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
