Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN requiring 2+ years of Cath Lab experience including Structural procedures and prior travel experience.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab unit of a short-term acute care hospital
- Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital affiliated with the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
- Daily caseload of 8-10 cases per tech
- Patient ratio of 1:10
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 6:30am-5:00pm
- On-call required with 30-minute response time
- Weekend on-call rotation from Friday 7pm through Monday 7am, rotating AM/PM first call and back-up call
- No floating required, though may float within scope if needed to meet facility needs
Requirements
- Active WV or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted for consideration, but active WV license required to start)
- ARRT registration required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required, with competency in Diagnostic, Interventional, and Structural procedures
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Two Manager or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required
- RCIS certification is not accepted as sufficient licensure to work in the Cath Lab in WV
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab, performing diagnostic, interventional, and structural heart procedures
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Free parking available for travelers
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the same rate
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position; prior Cath Lab and travel experience required
- Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
- Current employees (permanent or PRN) of the Vandalia Health System, including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System, are not eligible for this travel contract
