Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity ICU position requiring compact licensure and CRRT experience.
Details
- Work in a 16-24 bed high acuity Adult Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
- 13-week assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:30)
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity and rare 1:3 based on staffing
- Scheduled no more often than every other weekend, possibly every third weekend depending on staffing needs
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Precepting may be required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- CRRT experience required
- Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments per physician orders
- Perform and assist with invasive procedures including intubation, central line insertion, and arterial blood draws
- Manage ventilator settings and other life-support equipment
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Follow strict infection control protocols
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain clinical skills and stay current with ICU practices
- Work within a supportive team environment with strong interdisciplinary relationships across the hospital
- Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

In the mammogram department the managers are kind. The work load is low to steady. The staff is drama free. The schedule/location rarely changes. All and all great place to work.
Cons
Lunches are not always blocked off, only given 45 minutes. So might have to bring ur lunch. And eat at your work station.
