Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Intermediate Care (IMC) Cardiovascular Unit position requiring a compact RN license and 2 years of experience.
Details
- Work in a 20-bed high acuity Adult IMC Cardiovascular Unit within a hospital setting
- Care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring using advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
- 13-week contract assignment
- Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
- Collaborative team environment with strong working relationships across hospital departments
Requirements
- Active Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Willingness to precept required
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and nursing interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Follow strict infection control protocols
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain clinical skills and stay current with IMC practices
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Local candidates accepted; a radius rule applies that may affect pay rate depending on distance from the facility
- Candidates should begin discussing extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date

In the mammogram department the managers are kind. The work load is low to steady. The staff is drama free. The schedule/location rarely changes. All and all great place to work.
Cons
Lunches are not always blocked off, only given 45 minutes. So might have to bring ur lunch. And eat at your work station.
