Description
American Traveler is hiring a Level III NICU RN for a night shift travel position requiring ventilator experience and care of 23-40+ week gestation infants.
Details
- 32-bed Level III NICU spanning the 1st and 2nd floors of the Bay Area Campus
- Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3
- Uses vents, oscillators, and Vapotherm equipment
- EMR systems include Centricity Perinatal and Meditech
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Required to work 3-4 weekends per month
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery
Requirements
- >1 year of recent NICU RN experience required
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
- Current certifications: CPR/BLS and NRP
- Experience with ventilators and oscillators required
- Experience caring for 23-40+ week gestation infants required
- CPN charting experience preferred
- Experience with intubations, eye exam assistance, feeding tube insertions, and IV insertions preferred
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform NICU nursing care including assisting with intubations, eye exams, feeding tube insertions, and IV insertions
- Royal blue scrub color required
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
- Works alongside night shift team including charge nurse and unit clerk support
- Candidates should demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented personality
