Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring prior L&D experience and NRP, BLS, and EFM certifications.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit (3rd Floor, Main Hospital) of a hospital setting
- 14 L&D beds and 9 Antepartum beds on the unit
- Core staffing includes RNs, CSTs, CNC, and an AP Nurse on both day and night shifts
- Patient ratios are 1:1 for L&D final stage or C-section patients and 1:4 for Antepartum patients
- Equipment used includes OR, Fetal Heart Monitors, and Ultrasound
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 6-week assignment length
- Floating to Postpartum required
- Rotating weekends and call required upon flexing
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience required
- Current certifications required: NRP, BLS, and EFM (AWHONN intermediate/advanced or NCCEFM)
- BSN preferred
- Must provide U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and assist in the OR with C-Sections
- Ideal candidates are assertive, friendly, and strong critical thinkers
- Royal Blue scrubs required for dress code
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
