Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TX or compact RN licensure and extensive trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis experience.
Details
- 30-bed Emergency Department in a hospital setting
- Staffed with CNC, RNs, PCT/EMT, and unit secretary support based on volume forecast
- Patient ratios of 1-5 depending on acuity
- Uses advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines
- EMR is Meditech, transitioning to Expanse in August 2026
- Performs procedures such as thoracotomy, arterial lines, and MTP
- 2p-2a shift schedule
- Alternate weekend work required
- Floating to two free-standing ED locations if needed
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Required certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPI with TIC
- NRP and STABLE certifications are a plus
- Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis required
- Advanced critical thinking skills required
- Adult and pediatric ED experience preferred
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Deliver emergency care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis cases
- Team includes CNC leadership, RNs, PCT/EMTs, and unit secretaries
- Must wear Royal Blue scrubs per facility dress code policy
- Best fit candidates are flexible, accountable, responsible, and strong team players
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility with no exceptions for local candidates
