Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Observation unit evening shift position requiring current Telemetry/Med-Surg experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Work primarily on the 1S Observation unit within a hospital setting
- Float to other Med-Surg units (Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, etc.) and possibly the ED as needed based on skill set
- Evening shift schedule from 7p to 7:30a
- 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
- On-call responsibilities are rare
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience required
- Must be able to read Telemetry/BCRA and will be tested on this skill on day one
- Current, proficient Epic EMR experience required with no allowance for refresher training
Additional Information
- Provide observation-level nursing care with floating responsibilities to other units as needed
- Failure to pass the Telemetry/BCRA competency test on day one will result in immediate termination
- Lack of demonstrated Epic proficiency will result in immediate termination
- Returning travelers from this facility within the past 9 months may be eligible for alternate start dates
