Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg travel position requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• . Acute Care unit specializing in Medical Surgical Combination cases
• .Med/Surg patient population including tele, surgical, and general medical patients, mostly geriatric and adult with occasional pediatric cases not assigned to travelers
• 34-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Uses Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Cerner EHR system used for charting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, on a 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Call required only when down-staffed or placed on call
• May float to care for inpatient holds

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience recommended, with over 1 year preferred for travel positions
• General healthcare experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a Med/Surg population including tele, surgical, and general medical cases
• Scrubs required in any color with closed-toed shoes for clinical staff
• Candidates must be flexible and willing to assist as needed
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local rate
• Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on this assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered
