Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring ARRT certification and at least 18 months of specialty experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirements apply
• Floating within scope required, including to sister facilities within a 20-mile radius
• Additional Cath/EP experience desired as candidates may be floated to those areas
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience in Interventional Radiology, 2 years preferred
• ARRT (R) certification required
• State license required if applicable
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• RCIS certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Proficiency in vascular, abdominal, pelvic, and genitourinary angiography and interventional procedures
• Experience with embolization, angioplasty, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, and biopsy procedures
• Skilled in room circulating, scrubbing, and maintaining sterile field
• Experience with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
• Competency in caring for young adult, middle adult, and older adult patient populations

• EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation, with a maximum of two attempts per test and no remediation for retesting
