Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring active CA RN licensure and recent critical care experience.
Details
- Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital or outpatient specialty setting
- Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 10-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week over a 14-week assignment
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience within the last 3 years
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
- Procedural Sedation Competency preferred
- 2+ years of critical care experience with adult patients, preferably in PACU, preferred
- 2+ years of clinical experience with pediatric patients in ER, ICU, or PACU preferred
- 2+ years of experience providing Procedural Sedation in an outpatient setting preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Pain Management injection procedures preferred
- Licenses and certifications must be active at time of consideration; pending credentials not accepted

- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to patients following surgical or procedural interventions
