Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT-R certification for a cardiac interventional radiology position, first-time travelers accepted.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit performing basic IVR procedures, excluding neuro cases
• Provides support in the OR for vascular surgery, managing X-ray equipment and scrubbing cases in the IVR suite
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call required every 3rd weekend, totaling 9-10 call shifts within a 30-day period
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• ARRT-R and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficient in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
• Experience with angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, angiography, and biopsy procedures
• Skilled in sterile technique, infection control, and use of isolation precautions/PPE
• Familiarity with fluoroscopy equipment (Siemens)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing in procedures
• Performs a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, and abdominal/pelvic IVR procedures including IVC filter placement/removal, nephrostomy, thrombectomy, and dialysis graft interventions
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted for this position
• Clinicians cannot work as a traveler for more than 1 year continuously and must take a 6-month break before returning to travel assignments
