Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position at a children's hospital, requiring 2+ years of PICU experience and a TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the PICU of a children's hospital
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Weekend shifts required as needed
- Weekend block scheduling may be considered
- Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
Requirements
- Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand with no pending licensure accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required, 3+ years preferred
- BSN preferred
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
- First-time travelers accepted only with 3+ years of experience
- EPIC and Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Vaccination status documentation required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- Located at a dedicated children's hospital
- Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall during the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall during the assignment, must work at least 1
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, as RTO submitted after an offer will not be honored
- Local candidates not accepted; must live at least 100 miles from the facility
- Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
