Description
American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN for a Nursing Float Pool position requiring pressor titration skills and every other weekend availability.
Details
- Work within the Nursing Float Pool of a hospital setting
- Progressive Care specialty with patient ratios between 1:3-5
- 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights)
- Must be able to titrate pressors
- Float required to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks while on shift
- Weekly start dates on Mondays
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required in hand
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be able to titrate pressors
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required if candidate has no prior travel experience
- Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for a minimum of 6 months (perm, per diem, or contract) to be considered
Additional Information
- Day one pass/fail testing will be administered, including Tele/ECG and Medication tests
- Relias practice tests available for preparation
- Required vaccinations include COVID (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates with no prior travel experience will be considered but must meet Level 1 trauma experience requirement
- Floating every 4 hours is rare but may occur while on shift
