Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Night Shift ICU position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications along with a Compact or OH RN license.

Details

• Acute care ICU setting with 6 private beds
• High acuity step-down, low acuity ICU unit that currently serves as the hospital's COVID unit
• Patient population includes sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal, surgical, and respiratory cases
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses TruBridge - Evident EMR (CPSI-Evident)
• Night shift, 7pm-7am, working three 12-hour shifts per week (no blocked scheduling)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating to Tele-MedSurg unit required
• Travelers typically do not work holidays, dependent on schedule and permanent staff availability

Requirements

• Active RN license (OH or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• BSN not required for this position
• Must complete an ECG exam on first day of assignment

Additional Information

• 1 shift of floor orientation provided
• Royal Blue scrub color required
• N95 masks provided and used for 24 hours before disposal
• Able to cancel up to 1 week's worth of guaranteed hours over the 13-week assignment
