Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN - Float I for a 13-week Days assignment requiring a NM or compact RN license and prior float pool experience.
Details
- Work in the Nursing Float Pool at a hospital setting
- 13-week travel assignment on Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Full-time schedule
- May float to multiple units based on facility needs
- Additional unit-specific certifications may be required depending on floated units
Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or active Compact state RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
- PALS certification from AHA required
- TNCC certification required
- CPI/De-Escalation (CPIDE) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served
Additional Information
- Coordinate and implement individualized patient care plans based on age-specific needs and ongoing assessments
- Perform Point of Care testing procedures as part of patient care duties
- Delegate and coordinate team assignments while following up on patient care tasks for quality and completeness
- Participate in orientation of new staff and students on the unit
- Serve as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration to support unit and organizational goals
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local candidate consideration
- Previous employees who worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before starting a travel assignment
