Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring MO or compact RN licensure and 1+ years of Endo experience.

Details

  • Work in the Endoscopy department covering both Outpatient Endoscopy and Hospital Endoscopy locations on the same campus
  • Unit has up to 9 procedure rooms with 36 pre/post bays/beds
  • Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2
  • Cares for both inpatient and outpatient patients across all age groups
  • Performs 18-21 procedures per room per physician per shift
  • Uses Olympus Scopes and ERBE equipment
  • EMR systems used are EPIC and Provation, with EPIC experience required within the past year
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8, with hours generally 0730-1600 and 2-3 late days per week based on recovery/procedure census
  • Weekend work required as needed by facility, up to 1 Saturday every 6-week schedule
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required

Requirements

  • Active RN license eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
  • BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
  • CGRN certification recommended within 2 years of hire but not required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy experience required
  • Experience in procedure room care, charting, turning, and conscious sedation required
  • EPIC EMR experience required within the past year
  • Basic dysrhythmia knowledge required
  • Able to lift, push, and move heavy equipment, including push/pull up to 40-50 lbs and grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs
  • Able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and perform low-positioned work including kneeling, crouching, and minimal crawling
  • Able to work with fluoroscopy equipment

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for pre-procedure and post-procedure patients
  • Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize comfort and outcomes
  • Work in a fast-paced, teamwork-driven environment alongside physicians and staff
  • Dress code requires black scrubs or facility-provided surgical scrubs
  • Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, with no declinations accepted
  • RTO of 5 days or less must be made up during the assignment
  • Only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
  • Facility recognized as a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
