Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU night shift position requiring AL or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in an 8-bed high acuity Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within a hospital setting
• Provide complex monitoring and treatment for adult cardiac patients
• Receive patients from Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas requiring specialized cardiac care
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Uses Meditech EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (Alabama State or Compact) required, temporary or pending licenses not accepted
• Associate's degree in nursing required
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, and AHA NIH (or Red Cross equivalent)
• PALS certification preferred for pediatric unit assignments
• 2 years of RN experience required; candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license may be considered
• 1 recent year of experience in cardiac specialty required
