Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (R) or RCIS certification for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital.
Details
- Work in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Interventional Radiology setting
- Cases include STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, and Structural Heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip)
- IR procedures include lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity interventions, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
- Also supports Neurointervention and CRM device implants
- Uses Philips X-Ray System, McKesson for Cath Lab, and MacLab/Cardio Lab for EP
- Epic EMR used for charting
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including some Saturdays as part of the regular schedule
- On-call requirement of 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
- May float within scope to Interventional Radiology (IR) and Electrophysiology (EP), as well as to nearby affiliate hospitals
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, EP, IR, Vascular, Monitoring, and Neuro procedures
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required for Cath Lab role
- License required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with EKG lead placement and accurate patient monitoring required
- Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control required
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Copy of certifications required for consideration

- Acute care hospital with Magnet designation, Level II Trauma status, and recognition as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
- 407 total staffed beds
- Scrubs provided
- Must be willing to work 2 of the following 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Only 1 time off request permitted per 13-week assignment, with approval on an individual basis upon offer
- Facility requires Hepatitis B vaccination; titers and declinations are not accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
- Former Providence permanent staff must be separated for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Travelers are limited to a maximum of 1 calendar year per assignment, followed by a required 6-month break before returning to the same facility
- Housing options in the area may be limited
