Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring WA State or Compact RN licensure and ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital environment
  • Day/evening shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
  • Shift hours from 0700-1930
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation
  • May float to Mares Campus

Requirements

  • Active WA State or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Emergency Department nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
  • Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
  • Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
  • Accurately document care provided, assessments, and patient responses
  • Complete holistic ongoing assessments and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
  • Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
  • Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment according to hospital and unit policies
