Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring WA State or Compact RN licensure and ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital environment
- Day/evening shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
- Shift hours from 0700-1930
- No on-call responsibilities
- Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation
- May float to Mares Campus
Requirements
- Active WA State or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Emergency Department nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
- Accurately document care provided, assessments, and patient responses
- Complete holistic ongoing assessments and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment according to hospital and unit policies
