Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an LTAC ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

  • Work in the LTAC ICU unit of a long-term acute care hospital
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Floating to other units or campuses within demonstrated competencies may be required based on census needs

Requirements

  • Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • 1+ years of minimum experience with Epic EMR required
  • LTAC, teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, cardiac monitoring, and interpretation of ABGs

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to LTAC ICU patients including ventilator weaning, IV vasopressor titration, and complex wound care
  • Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
  • Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
  • Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from every facility in the health system to be eligible, with reduced eligibility criteria for those between 90-99.9 miles
  • Night shift travelers for Adult ICU positions must reside 50+ miles from the contracted campus, with full eligibility at 100+ miles
