Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility and current ARRT certification in hand.
Details
- Work in a busy cardiac catheterization lab with 7 procedure rooms
- Adult and geriatric patient population with average daily census of 25-30
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, EP lab, and interventional radiology work settings
- Procedures include diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, IABP and Impella placement/removal, stent placement, angioplasty, carotid stenting, upper and lower extremity angiography, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- EP experience candidates may float to EP lab as needed when Cath Lab/IR case volume is low
- Uses Epic EMR and Siemens equipment
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Call required including one weekday call per week, every 5th weekend call, two weekends per 13-week contract (Friday 6pm-Monday 7am), one night each week, and one holiday of call if contract spans summer or winter holidays
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required
- ARRT certification must be in hand at time of consideration
- ODH license required, license required if applicable
- Pending OH license acceptable but must have MI license in hand
- IABP and Impella training required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with IV starts, EKGs, stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- Must be STEMI ready to apply
- Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Two professional references from within the last 24 months required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing EKG lead placement and vascular studies/procedures
- Floating to other units and/or facilities as needed is an expectation for all travelers
- Scrubs are provided
- Unit accepts travelers based on experience level
- First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
- Returning staff must have been gone at least 1 year from permanent staff positions
- Requested time off of 7+ days requires manager approval and cannot include holidays or the days before/after holidays
