Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehab unit requiring 2+ years experience and CVA rehabilitation experience.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit setting
- 5x8 hour day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Average daily census of 44.5 patients
- Patient population includes traumatic brain injury cases
- Weekend requirement of every third weekend
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- May be required to float to like units as needed
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Active MD state Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- CVA rehabilitation experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with adult rehabilitation and acute care settings preferred
- Experience with wheelchair evaluation, adjustments, and positioning preferred
- Skills in coma management, CVA rehabilitation, hand injury, and static splints preferred
Additional Information
- Provide therapy services for patients with traumatic brain injuries and other complex rehabilitation needs
- Work with adaptive equipment, cognitive assessments, and home exercise programs
- Deliver patient and family education focused on safety and injury prevention
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
