Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Urology Unit Medical Surgical position requiring high acuity and proficiency with insulin and heparin drips.

Details

• , hio, 1:6-7 patient ratios
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hour schedules available with block booking options (except holidays)
• Every other weekend (EOW) work required
• Orientation occurs every other Monday with a Wednesday-Tuesday pay period

Requirements

• active RN license required
• minumum of 2 years of RN experience required with strong high acuity background
• Proficiency with insulin and heparin drips required
• Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred but not required
• Required certifications: BLS (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ACLS certification preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required unless documented religious or medical exemption provided
• Flu shot required unless documented religious or medical exemption provided
• Experience working in large healthcare facilities required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Urology Medical Surgical unit handling high acuity cases
• Scrub requirement: all navy, or navy pants with a white top
• Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates will not be accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff are not eligible for travel roles for 10 years following separation
• Travelers who complete 2 consecutive contracts must take a 6-month break before returning, with exceptions considered case-by-case
