Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 1-2+ years of ER experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Room department of a free-standing emergency department affiliated with a larger hospital system
• Region's largest and most comprehensive ED plus Free Standing ED setting
• 11-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Adult patient population
• Uses Paragon EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend requirements (every other weekend)
• No on-call requirements
• Rare floating possible to Henderson ED, though unlikely

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• 1-2+ years of RN experience required
• Skilled in IV administration, critical care, and drip management
• ER and critical care experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided

• Facility is a Duke Lifepoint Hospital that is Joint Commission Accredited
• Facility holds an 'A' rating in the LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
• Facility features the region's largest and most advanced ICU and PCU with 205 licensed beds
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Traveler cannot have worked as permanent staff at any Lifepoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
