Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 1-2+ years of ER experience and an active NC or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Room department of a free-standing emergency department affiliated with a larger hospital system
- Region's largest and most comprehensive ED plus Free Standing ED setting
- 11-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Adult patient population
- Uses Paragon EHR system
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekend requirements (every other weekend)
- No on-call requirements
- Rare floating possible to Henderson ED, though unlikely
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- 1-2+ years of RN experience required
- Skilled in IV administration, critical care, and drip management
- ER and critical care experience preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
- Copies of required certifications must be provided

- Facility is a Duke Lifepoint Hospital that is Joint Commission Accredited
- Facility holds an 'A' rating in the LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
- Facility features the region's largest and most advanced ICU and PCU with 205 licensed beds
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Traveler cannot have worked as permanent staff at any Lifepoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
