Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Neuro MRI unit requiring ARRT MR certification and at least 2 years of MRI experience.
Details
- Position located in a Radiology department specializing in Neuro, Abdominal, and Musculoskeletal (MSK) MRI
- 13-week assignment with 5x8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
- Day shift options include 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, with an evening shift option of 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
- Travelers are assigned to either a day or evening schedule and do not rotate between the two
- No call, no overnights, and no holiday coverage required
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance (MR) required
- BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Graduate of an ARRT approved or recognized Health Science program required
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required, and/or 3 total travel assignments
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active license required if applicable
- No pending license allowed upon consideration
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

- Practice safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients
- Foster teamwork through effective communication and collaboration
- Maintain flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths
- Strong patient-centered care approach expected
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality required
- COVID vaccination and booster required
- On-site work required with no teleworking option
- Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
