Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 2 years of step down experience and a compact or Iowa RN license.
Details
- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown setting within a hospital environment
- Days shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Required to work every other weekend
- Every other holiday coverage required
- No on-call requirements
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses, including to the ED
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
- Minimum of 2 years of step down/PCU nursing experience required
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Updated work history/resume required
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year required
- License verification required
- One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Provide and manage patient care within the PCU/Stepdown unit
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must have a taxable address outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for submission
- Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods in late November and late December
