Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Irving, TX, requiring active TX/compact licensure and 2+ years of L&D experience.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery (L&D) department of a hospital setting
- 13-week travel assignment located in Irving, TX
- Varied PM shifts, 7p-7a
- Weekend shifts required
- On-call is optional
- Hospital-provided scrubs
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring
- RNC-OB or C-EFM certification preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccination required with no exemptions granted
Additional Information
- Coordinate patient care delivery using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for L&D patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and delegate tasks appropriately based on patient condition and staff competencies
- Create a compassionate, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and families during labor and delivery
- Facilitate patient and family education to support informed healthcare decisions
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent employees at this health system may have limited eligibility
