Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience and strong orthopedic skills for a 13-week assignment at an Adult Trauma III facility.

Details

• Outpatient Physical Therapy setting within an Adult Trauma III facility with 120 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Daily caseload of 10-12 patients
• Adult patient population including orthopedic conditions (TKA, THA, joint pain, back pain) and neurologic conditions (post-CVA, Parkinson's)
• No weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside of scope
• Uses Epic EMR (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Inpatient therapy experience helpful but not required
• Current BLS certification required
• Manual Therapy certification required
• Dry Needling certification preferred
• Strong orthopedic skills required
• Some inpatient experience preferred
• WI PT license required; license required if applicable, pending license accepted at time of consideration
• Must be able to shave facial hair to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation for orthopedic and neurologic patient populations
• Treatment includes therapeutic modalities, gait training, manual therapy, and patient/family education
• No specific scrub color required
• Open to first-time travelers
• Local candidates within 70 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Limited to 1 RTO request per contract
• Travelers must complete OSHA Respirator Clearance prior to start
• Facility does not accept medical or religious exemptions for fit testing; failure to shave for fit testing will result in cancellation
• CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and personal CAPRs/PAPRs are not permitted
