Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring conscious sedation experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care setting in a Level 2 trauma center's Endo/GI unit
• 10 procedure/OR rooms (8 outpatient, 2 inpatient) with an average of 30 cases per day
• Common cases include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, dilations, and food impactions
• Uses Cerner EMR, currently transitioning to Epic
• 10-hour day shifts with occasional need to stay late to complete cases
• Weekend and holiday call required on an 8-9 week rotation for those with conscious sedation and advanced case experience
• Call response time of 45-60 minutes
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience
• Pre/post procedural experience required
• Conscious sedation and advanced GI case experience preferred for call rotation eligibility
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for GI/Endoscopy patients undergoing a variety of procedures
• Facility supplies scrubs
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
• Former permanent staff must have separated from the facility for at least 6 months and receive hospital approval prior to consideration
