Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an EP Lab position requiring 2 years of EP experience, EPIC proficiency, and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab of a hospital setting
• Assignment includes ablations, cardiac mapping, conduction studies, and pacemaker/AICD insertions
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
• Floating required
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Utilizes Micropace monitoring system for ablation procedures

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of EP Lab experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Skilled in scrub and circulate procedures for EP cases
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and topical hemostasis (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch)
• Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience administering emergency medications, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, and thrombolytics
• Skilled in blood product administration and implanted port care

Additional Information

• Perform EP Lab procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and pacemaker/AICD insertion and programming
• Responsible for sheath removal and monitoring, ACT testing, and dysrhythmia management
• Scrubs provided
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Maximum 1 week of RTO allowed during the contract
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous employees must have a 6-month system-wide break in service before returning
